How Radiesse Differs From Hyaluronic-Acid Fillers
Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. The gel provides initial correction, while the microspheres act as a scaffold associated with collagen formation. Unlike hyaluronic-acid fillers, Radiesse is not a reversible filler. Product choice therefore depends on the area, tissue characteristics, desired degree of support, and whether reversibility matters.

Radiesse for Hands
Age-related volume loss can make tendons and veins on the backs of the hands more visible. Radiesse is FDA approved for back of the hand augmentation to correct this type of volume loss in appropriate adults. Treatment is considered when the goal is a smoother, less hollow appearance rather than alteration of hand movement or function.

In the cheeks, a structural filler may be considered when loss of support contributes to flattening or shadowing through the midface. Radiesse may provide contour and support in carefully selected planes, but this use should be described by treatment goal and desired outcomes. Radiesse Safety and Aftercare
