A consultation may be useful when the lower-face border looks uneven, lacks support in a specific segment, has lost definition, or does not match the balance you want from the front, three-quarter, or profile view. Candidacy depends on anatomy, skin and soft-tissue quality, prior filler, medical history, medications, and whether the requested contour can be produced safely without excessive volume.

I may use RHA, Juvéderm, or Radiesse or a combination of products when clinically appropriate for jawline support. Material selection depends on the tissue, treatment plane, required support, movement in the area, prior treatment, and whether reversibility matters. A jawline plan may use a small number of strategic points or a longer segment of support. Placement follows your anatomy and the contour we have agreed on. I may use a needle, cannula, or both, depending on the material, location, and treatment plan.
The amount required can differ substantially from one side to the other and from one client to another. A larger requested change does not automatically make a larger filler plan appropriate.
What to Expect at the Appointment
The visit includes examination, photographs when appropriate, discussion of material choices, cleansing, marking, treatment, and immediate reassessment. Temporary swelling or tenderness may make the early contour look different from the settled result, so follow-up timing should be based on the material and treatment performed.
