It can come from a mix of lost support, tissue that has shifted downward over time, looser skin, everyday muscle movement, and how the mouth corners relate to the chin.
My clients rarely describe their concern as “I have a wrinkle.” It’s usually something more like “I look sad,” “my mouth turns down,” or “I look angry even when I’m relaxed.” That’s an important distinction, because it shapes how I approach my treatment. Temporary swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, pain, itching, or lumps may occur.
